Job description
Build the libraries collection infrastructure and streaming systems to make security observable across all of Amazon - capturing billions of events per second. Were hiring SDEs to work on internal frameworks build ingestion pipelines and own end-to-end platforms that power threat detection and AI security monitoring at scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and maintain client-side libraries and frameworks that instrument services with security logging at minimal developer effort.
- Build and operate distributed streaming infrastructure that collects normalizes and delivers security events at massive scale
- Define and evolve event schemas that balance security coverage needs against producer adoption.
- Develop monitoring and detection capabilities for AI/ML workloads in a fast-moving space.
- Write clean well-tested production-ready code with automated testing continuous deployment and observability as standard.
- Participate in an on-call rotation investigating operational issues performing root cause analysis and driving long-term fixes.
- Mentor teammates through code reviews design discussions and knowledge sharing.

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working in a cloud based development and production environment such as AWS
