AECOM is seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our established Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory team part of our Building Engineering Business Line which is recognised as a leader in sustainable development.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Sustainability & Carbon services for major public and private sector clients helping them to design and deliver low-carbon resilient and sustainable estates.

This role will span a wide range of sectors including healthcare education and commercial but most specifically UK Defence & National Security.

Key Responsibilities

With support from the wider team you will be responsible for:

• Supporting clients to develop and understand their sustainability & decarbonisation requirements.
• Developing delivering and reviewing whole life carbon reduction strategies for a variety of scoping mechanisms (e.g. Greater London Authority LETI & RIBA RICS BREEAM etc.).
• Liaising directly with clients and designers to develop sustainability & decarbonisation strategies at the outset implementing these from early design through to construction.
• Delivery of assessment certification schemes such as BREEAM and DREAM. LEED and/or WELL experience is advantageous.
• Delivery of sustainability appraisals such as SAW and SEEAM.
• Supporting project management and programming.
• Supporting work winning through the bidding process incl. tender responses.
• Mentoring of junior staff where suitable to help upskilling.

Qualifications :

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of the building design and construction process.
• Experience of undertaking WLCAs using OneClick LCA assessment certification schemes especially BREEAM and DREAM and sustainability appraisals.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply it to practical sustainability solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.

• Due to the nature of the work undertaken successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance and ideally have a single UK nationality
