\n Join a leading Housing Association as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, helping to maintain clean, safe and attractive outdoor spaces across residential communities in Croydon while delivering an excellent service to tenants.\n
THE ROLE\n
\n As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will work across multiple housing sites, ensuring communal outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard while providing a professional and respectful service to residents. Working as part of an established team, you will play a key role in improving neighbourhood environments and ensuring estates remain safe, tidy and welcoming.\n

  • Carry out routine grounds maintenance across multiple housing sites.
    • \n
  • Maintain grassed areas, hedges, shrubs, flower beds and communal green spaces.
    • \n
  • Identify and report estate maintenance issues requiring further attention.
    • \n
  • Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
    • \n
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and in line with health and safety procedures.
    • \n
  • Provide excellent customer service and remain courteous and respectful when interacting with tenants.
    • \n
  • Travel between sites throughout the working day using a company vehicle.
    • \n
THE CANDIDATE\n
\n The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticultural role and be committed to delivering a high-quality service.\n
    \n
  • Full UK driving licence with at least two years' driving experience.
    • \n
  • Experience in grounds maintenance is preferred but not essential.
    • \n
  • PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable.
    • \n
  • Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual outdoor work in all weather conditions.
    • \n
  • Punctual, enthusiastic, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
    • \n
THE CONTRACT\n
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday.\n
Length of Contract: 6 Month Contract.\n
Rate: The pay range for the role is £18.00 to£22.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £15.35 to £18.76 per hour, inclusive of holiday.\n
