Job Description

Baxterstorey is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team in Oxford, United Kingdom. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, using high-quality beans and proper techniques
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards
• Take customer orders, handle transactions, and provide knowledgeable recommendations about our coffee offerings
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain a clean, organised work area
• Stay updated on coffee trends and Baxterstorey's product range to enhance the customer experience

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista, preferably in a busy caf or coffee shop environment
• Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and ability to consistently produce high-quality beverages
• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment
• Strong latte art skills
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Food safety certification (desirable)
• In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
