Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Senior Heritage Consultant to join our expanding Archaeology & Heritage team delivering projects across a wide range of sectors including renewables infrastructure regeneration and development.

Our team operates across the UK and Europe from offices including Bristol Cardiff London Southampton Edinburgh Exeter Nottingham and Shrewsbury. This role offers flexible hybrid working with a preference for Bristol Cardiff London or Southampton.

The Role

Youll play a key role in delivering and growing SLRs heritage services leading a portfolio of projects while supporting the development of our regional presence.

• Leading and delivering a range of historic environment and heritage projects
• Managing project programmes budgets and client relationships
• Providing expert advice on heritage constraints and opportunities to inform design and planning
• Preparing high-quality heritage reports including Desk-Based Assessments and ES chapters
• Designing and managing archaeological investigations and mitigation strategies
• Supporting business development including proposals and client engagement
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes

Youll work closely with colleagues across planning environmental and engineering disciplines on complex and rewarding projects with opportunities to contribute to the teams strategic growth.

About You

Youll bring extensive experience delivering UK heritage or archaeological projects across a range of sectors alongside a strong understanding of UK planning policy heritage legislation and guidance.

• Strong understanding of UK planning policy heritage legislation and guidance
• Proven project management and client-facing experience including financial oversight
• Experience preparing technical reports and managing desk-based and field investigations
• A relevant heritage archaeology or related degree (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
• A proactive approach to business development and collaborative working
