We're recruiting on behalf of several secondary schools in Sunderland seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join them on a full-time basis.

These schools are looking for someone who can bring energy into the classroom, challenge students to think critically and help them develop strong reading, writing and communication skills. Your responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable)
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of abilities
• Mark work and provide meaningful feedback
• Monitor progress and prepare students for examinations
• Build positive relationships with pupils and families
• Contribute to departmental planning and school life

You'll need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong subject knowledge
• A proactive and positive approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
