The Team
Clyde & Cos Corporate Insurance team sits at the centre of the firms global insurance practice one of the largest and most respected in the world. The team advises leading insurers reinsurers intermediaries MGAs and financial institutions on complex highvalue corporate and regulatory matters. With deep sector knowledge and a strong international platform the team handles the full spectrum of insurancerelated transactions including M&A joint ventures reorganisations portfolio transfers and Part VII processes.
The Role
The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Legal Director to take a senior position within the London Corporate Insurance group. The role involves leading sophisticated transactions managing key client relationships and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice. You will work closely with partners across corporate regulatory commercial and disputes teams often on crossborder mandates. This is a careerdefining opportunity for a lawyer looking to operate at the highest level of the insurance market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex insurance M&A joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
Advise on portfolio transfers including Part VII courtsanctioned processes.
Provide strategic guidance on UK and EU insurance regulatory matters including PRA/FCA requirements governance and conduct issues.
Act as a senior client contact developing and maintaining longterm relationships with major insurers reinsurers and intermediaries.
Supervise mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
Support business development initiatives thought leadership and clientfacing projects across the firms insurance platform.
Collaborate with colleagues globally on multidisciplinary and crossborder matters.
Experience
Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 7 PQE in corporate or corporate insurance work.
Strong experience advising insurers reinsurers brokers MGAs or other regulated financial services clients.
Proven track record leading complex transactions and managing seniorlevel client relationships.
Excellent technical skills commercial judgement and the ability to deliver clear pragmatic advice.
Experience supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team leadership.
Ambition to progress within a global highperforming practice.
