We are seeking to appoint a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant to join Eastern High. The successful candidate will play a key role in our Support Centre. The Support Centre is a bespoke Step 3 provision for KS3 pupils within our school. It provides a safe haven for learners with complex behavioural, emotional and social needs which provides a nurturing environment that is designed to stabilise pupils, rebuild their confidence and support reintegration back into mainstream lessons. The provision enables the delivery of a consistent relationship focused approach that combines calm communication and trauma informed practice. The role requires the successful candidate to support the delivery of EHW interventions as well as building pupils’ confidence and self-esteem to reintegrate back into mainstream lessons and access a broad and varied curriculum. Alongside this, the Support Centre provides a bespoke core curriculum, delivered in partnership with mainstream subject staff, ensuring learners continue to access high‑quality teaching while receiving the additional support they need.

Grade 4 Level 2 Spinal point 6 - 11 £25,989 - £28,142 FTE. Salary needs to be pro rata'd for 39 weeks term time 32.5 hours per week
