Job Description:
Full-time role 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis
HMS Sultan Portsmouth
Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What youll be doing
- Deliver hands-on workshop training in fitting turning milling and general engineering skills
- Demonstrate techniques guide trainees and help them build confidence on the tools
- Support learners working towards recognised engineering qualifications
- Maintain workshop equipment and ensure safe working practices
- Share your real-world experience to bring learning to life
What were looking for
Were not looking for teachers were looking for engineers.
Youll need (essential):
- A recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent experience) in fitting/turning or mechanical engineering
- Strong recent hands-on workshop experience
- Skills across machining fitting milling grinding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Any experience coaching mentoring or helping others learn
- CAD knowledge
No teaching experience No problem well fully train and support you.
