Are you an experienced Transport Controller or Coordinator looking for your next challenge World Courier a global leader in specialty logistics and temperature-controlled supply chain solutions is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Transport Controller to join our Domestic Desk team at our Feltham site.
This is a fast-paced hands-on role at the heart of our UK operations where no two days are the same. Youll be the crucial link between our drivers agents and internal teams ensuring time-sensitive and temperature-controlled consignments are collected and delivered seamlessly every time.
Key Details
Location: Feltham (Fully On-Site)
Hours: 8.5 hours per shift with a 30-minute break (40 hours per week)
Shift Pattern: Monday Friday rotating shifts between 4:00am 8:00pm
Weekend working and overtime as required
Please note: this role requires airport security clearance and a DBS check prior to starting
Key Responsibilities
Planning and allocating collections and deliveries across a fleet of drivers and domestic agents
Communicating all relevant consignment information to drivers and stakeholders clearly and efficiently
Monitoring emails mobile communications our Transport Management System (TMS)
Updating and tracking consignments on our internal system
Downloading and distributing temperature monitor data for customer service analysis
Preparing specialist packaging and temperature-controlled consignments and managing packaging stock levels
Working closely with the Duty Controller and Department Lead Team to keep the Domestic Desk running to the highest standard
Driving when required to support the wider team
General administration including filing and paperwork

What Were Looking For
Essential:
A proven background in Transport Coordination Transport Planning or a similar Controller role
Experience in routing and transport planning for drivers
A road freight or logistics background
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel Word and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to prioritise multitask and stay calm under pressure
A flexible attitude this role involves shift work and occasional last-minute coverage
A valid driving licence
Willingness to undergo airport security clearance and a DBS check
Desirable:
Experience in customs import/export operations
A background in temperature-controlled logistics
