This role is ideal for an aspiring teacher or future child psychologist who wants to apply theory to practice while making a genuine difference to a childs daily school experience.
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant you will:
Provide tailored support to a pupil with additional learning social or emotional needs
Implement strategies that promote confidence independence and emotional regulation
Work closely with the SENCo class teacher and external specialists
Build a consistent trusting relationship with the pupil you support
Contribute to a positive inclusive and nurturing school environment
This is the perfect stepping stone for a Psychology Graduate wanting to build realworld SEN experience before progressing into further training.
To be considered applicants must hold:
Strong GCSE and ALevel results
A 2:1 or FirstClass degree in Psychology (or closely related field)
A genuine interest in child development SEN and behaviour

Daily exposure to SEN behaviour and intervention strategies
Experience working alongside teachers SEN specialists and external agencies
A deep understanding of how children learn regulate and build resilience
