Job Description
Conveyancing Assistant Residential / New Build Property
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: 24000 to 28000 plus bonus and benefits
Experience: 12 months conveyancing experience (sales and purchase)
A great opportunity for an experienced conveyancing assistant to join a busy residential and new build property team in Middlesbrough with plenty of client contact and real scope to develop.
This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who can hit the ground running enjoys keeping matters moving and takes pride in delivering a professional friendly service.
You will support fee earners across residential and new build matters helping to progress files efficiently from instruction through to completion. Youll be working closely with clients and third parties keeping the case management system updated and ensuring key steps are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening new files inputting instructions onto the case management system and producing relevant letters and documents
- Updating the case management system in line with team procedures as matters progress
- Issuing contracts on sale files and assisting with replies to enquiries
- Ordering searches and supporting the progression of matters
- Supporting exchanges and completion steps including related paperwork
- Setting up completions and issuing mortgage reports to clients
- Dealing with incoming post and telephone enquiries where appropriate
- General administration including filing billing copying sorting post and archiving
What Were Looking For
Essential
- At least 12 months experience in conveyancing (sales and purchase)
- Experience in a similar fast-paced role with high volumes and regular client contact
- Strong keyboard skills and confidence using a case management system
- Accurate organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
- Confident handling enquiries in a customer-friendly and professional way
- Flexible adaptable and able to work under pressure
- Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
