Salary up to 51356 depending on experience

As part of the Safeguarding Team youll play a crucial role in protecting vulnerable children and helping families achieve lasting positive change.
Youll:
- Manage a varied and rewarding caseload across Child in Need (CIN) Child Protection (CP) and Looked After Children (LAC) services.
- Complete high-quality assessments care planning and interventions that deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with children and families while ensuring their voices remain central to decision-making.
- Lead safeguarding processes chair CIN and Core Group meetings and contribute to court proceedings where required.
- Work closely with education health police and other key partners to deliver coordinated support.
- Support and mentor ASYE and student social workers sharing your expertise and helping others develop.
What Were Looking For
Were seeking passionate and resilient practitioners who are committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
Youll have:
Social Work England registration
Post-qualified experience within childrens safeguarding services
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks
Experience managing complex and high-risk cases with confidence and professionalism
Excellent communication assessment and relationship-building skills
Experience using systems such as Liquidlogic Mosaic CareFirst or ICS
Additional expertise in areas such as contextual safeguarding trauma-informed practice domestic abuse or supporting asylum-seeking families would be highly advantageous
