£56.89 per hour (Umbrella) | 6-Month Contract | Kings Cross | Hybrid (2 Days Office / 3 Days Home)\n

\n We're looking for an experienced Housing Management Solicitor to join the in-house Legal Services team on an initial 6-month contract.\n
\n
The Role\n
\n
\nYou'll take ownership of a varied caseload of housing management litigation while supporting and mentoring a team of paralegals. Working closely with operational teams, you'll provide expert legal advice, manage complex cases and help minimise organisational risk through pragmatic, resident-focused legal solutions. \n
\n
Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Manage a diverse caseload of housing management litigation including:\n
      \n
    • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
      • \n
    • Tenancy and lease breaches
      • \n
    • Tenancy fraud
      • \n
    • Unlawful subletting
      • \n
    • Failed succession claims
      • \n
    • \n
  • Provide specialist legal advice to operational teams.
    • \n
  • Lead on complex and high-risk litigation matters.
    • \n
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals within the legal team.
    • \n
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, court bundles and legal documentation.
    • \n
  • Work collaboratively with other legal teams including Disrepair and Compliance.
    • \n
  • Monitor legal spend and ensure cases are managed efficiently and effectively.
    • \n
About You\n
\n
\nYou'll be a qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with:\n
\n
    \n
  • A current practising certificate.
    • \n
  • At least 2 years' PQE.
    • \n
  • Previous experience within social housing, local authority or private practice housing litigation.
    • \n
  • Strong knowledge of housing law, landlord & tenant legislation and litigation processes.
    • \n
  • Experience managing complex housing management cases from instruction through to conclusion.
    • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
    • \n
