Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale The Role A thriving Secondary Academy in Gloucester is seeking a professional, empathetic, and exceptionally organised Health & Social Care Teacher to join their growing vocational department. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 4 and 5, splitting focus between human lifespan development and health care values at Level 2, alongside advanced anatomy, physiology, and safeguarding frameworks at Level 3 BTEC / A-Level. Key responsibilities include maintaining precise student portfolio records, constructing multi-tier internal verification tracking files, managing workplace placement correspondence, and coordinating student visits to local health services and clinical settings. You will support seamless communication with parents, regional healthcare partners, and external moderation boards, ensuring all coursework portfolios, witness statements, and exam entries are handled securely and professionally. Exceptional time-management skills are necessary, as this role requires managing distinct specification plans and evidence tracking channels within a busy secondary academy environment.
