Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Trust's estates team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the school estate and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the school site, ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to a high standard. You will oversee planned preventative maintenance, coordinate reactive repairs, supervise contractors, manage site security, and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. The role also includes preparing facilities for school events, maintaining accurate compliance records, and supporting ongoing improvement and refurbishment projects. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy school environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the school site Coordinate planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes Ensure compliance with health and safety, fire safety, and statutory regulations Supervise contractors and monitor service level agreements Oversee site security, access control, and emergency procedures Maintain compliance documentation and support statutory inspections Assist with capital improvement and refurbishment projects Ensure the school grounds and buildings remain safe, secure, and well presented The School Environment This Secondary School is part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust that is committed to providing outstanding educational environments across all of its schools.
