We make health happen
At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives, and to create a better world. That’s what drives every decision we make. In this role, you’ll play a meaningful part in supporting young people aged 11–17 through evidence‑based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

You’ll be joining our Young Persons Talking Therapy Team, delivering online therapeutic care that brings warmth, clarity, and support to young people, and occasionally adults when needed. Working remotely means you’ll have the flexibility to create a comfortable work environment while still making a genuine difference to families across the UK.

This is a chance to use your specialist skills to help young people feel seen, understood, and supported. You’ll offer high‑quality assessments, guide positive change through tailored intervention, and help shape the future of a growing service dedicated to improving emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
  • Provide high‑quality, outcome‑focused CBT to children and adolescents via video consultations.
  • Complete thorough assessments and formulations to guide treatment, ensuring every young person receives the right support at the right time.
  • Communicate clearly and sensitively with parents, carers, schools, and other agencies involved in the child’s care.
  • Work within clinical guidelines and safeguarding policies, remaining especially attuned to the unique safeguarding needs of young people.
  • Manage sessional limits linked to the customer’s insurance cover while keeping recovery goals at the heart of your work.
  • Carry out risk assessments and create effective management plans, with the support of senior clinicians as required.
  • Provide signposting, onward referrals, and one‑off wellbeing sessions when needed.
  • Deliver occasional group psychoeducation or wellbeing workshops.
  • Work autonomously within Bupa’s service framework, maintaining thorough records and upholding the highest clinical standards.
  • Attend monthly team meetings and regular supervision sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across operational and clinical teams to improve client and employee experience.

What we’re looking for
Essential:
  • A BABCP‑accredited Post‑Graduate Diploma in CBT/High Intensity Therapy.
  • Full BABCP Accreditation.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with a range of presentations.
  • At least two years’ post‑qualification experience delivering high‑intensity CBT.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital health systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, adapting your approach to suit different ages and needs.
  • The ability to prioritise workload, manage a structured caseload, and meet utilisation expectations.
  • A warm, empathetic approach that helps young people feel genuinely supported.

Desirable:
  • Additional therapeutic training, leadership skills, or incident‑support training.

Benefits:
Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:
  • 25 days holiday (pro rata if part-time), increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
  • Bupa health insurance as a benefit in kind
  • Long Service - For every milestone at Bupa we will reward you with ecards, extra holidays and money!
  • Interest- free annual travel Loan to enable the purchase of public transport annual season tickets
  • Wagestream - Have early access up to 40% of your earned wages within minutes
  • Competitive Pension plans and Parental leave options as well as access to unique products such as our Menopause plan
  • My Bupa Extras - discounts at your favourite retailers, plus a huge range of tools, content and information to support you with your wellbeing
