About the Role The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Students study a diverse curriculum including Shakespeare, modern and classic prose, poetry, drama, creative writing, and language analysis. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while encouraging critical thinking, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of English. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through reading initiatives, creative writing activities, debating, theatre visits, literacy projects, and enrichment opportunities that encourage students to explore English beyond the classroom.
