You will act as the principal point of contact for external agencies, medical professionals, and parents, requiring absolute professionalism, calm problem-solving capabilities, and crisp communication. You will balance detailed data logging on digital dashboards with active student mentoring, ensuring that all intervention tracks translate into measurable academic and social progress. School Information This is a thriving, well-established 11 to 18 Secondary School in Birmingham with an exceptional reputation for broad curriculum access, student welfare, and pastoral innovation. The school serves an ambitious regional community and operates with a welcoming, highly supportive professional ethos. The SEND and inclusion team are treated as an essential, core pillar of the school faculty, benefiting from dedicated seminar suites, independent testing rooms, and premium learning resources. Staff are highly supported by a forward-thinking senior leadership team that prioritizes administrative efficiency, shared resource structures, and robust professional development paths. Requirements A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a track record of classroom excellence Mandatory possession of the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or the current NPQSENCO qualification Deep working knowledge of the statutory SEND Code of Practice, EHCP assessment procedures, and examination access arrangements Strong IT and data management capabilities, with confidence utilizing digital student tracking platforms and asset software Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a collaborative team of learning support professionals effectively Application To apply, please send your comprehensive CV as soon as possible.
