About the Role The successful candidate will teach English across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Students study a diverse curriculum including Shakespeare, classic and contemporary literature, poetry, drama, creative writing, and language analysis. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language examinations while encouraging independent thought, confident communication, and academic excellence. You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through literacy initiatives, book clubs, theatre visits, debating competitions, creative writing workshops, and enrichment activities that foster a genuine enthusiasm for English.
