Courses are delivered during the day, on-campus (face-to-face) at the Rutgers-Camden campus or at our offsite locations – at Camden County Community College (Blackwood, NJ), Mercer County Community College (West Windsor, NJ), Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ). Some online teaching opportunities are available.
The successful candidate/s will be responsible for building his or her own course section which entails: modifying the existing syllabus, vetting the appropriate textbook, present course materials during the assigned course times, designing assessments, and organizing the course within Canvas, Rutgers’s Learning Management System. All in accordance with the school’s guidelines.
While teaching the course, the candidate is expected to attend class as scheduled, respond to student inquiries within a reasonable time frame, as appropriate make weekly announcements regarding course content and upcoming deadlines, provide timely feedback on student work, facilitate student interactions, offer virtual office hours as needed, and comply with grade submission policies and deadlines. Prior teaching experience at the higher education level is required.
