Department: Student Recruitment Location: Birmingham Type of Contract: Permanent About Us GBS is a higher education provider offering a range of sector-relevant courses across ten campuses in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester. Working in partnership with several of the UK’s leading higher education providers, we deliver vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in finance, accounting, business, construction, tourism, healthcare – and more. Our Vision Changing Lives through Education The Role As a Student Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for promoting our institution to prospective students and assisting them throughout the admissions process. Your primary goal will be to promote the Student Referral scheme and attract talented individuals, guiding them towards enrolling onto our academic programs. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship! What The Role Involves * Develop and implement effective student recruitment strategies to achieve enrolment targets and attract a diverse pool of applicants. * Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries via phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings. * Provide detailed information about our institutions academic programs, admission requirements, scholarships, campus facilities, and student life to prospective students. * Conduct presentations, campus tours, and information sessions for groups and individuals to showcase our institution and its offerings. * Utilise CRM systems or other designated tools to track and follow up with prospective students, ensuring timely and personalized communication throughout the enrolment process. * Assist prospective students with the application process, including reviewing applications and providing guidance on required documents. * Collaborate with the admissions team to review applications, conduct interviews, and participate in the selection process, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation of prospective students. About You * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences. * Knowledge of the education landscape, admission processes, and financial aid options. * Proficiency in using various digital platforms, social media, and CRM systems for recruitment purposes. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to attend recruitment events as required. * Familiarity with data analysis and reporting is a plus. * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues, students and educational partners. * Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
