Job description


Pertemps are currently seeking TIG Welders to join a leading manufacturing business, based in Gainsborough on a full time, ongoing basis.

What will I be paid?

  • AM Shift - £14.50. Overtime, £21.75ph (Mon to Sat) & £29ph (Sun)
  • PM Shift - £16.35ph. Overtime, £21.75ph (Mon to Sat) & £29ph (Sun)


Working hours:
There are 2 shifts you can choose from, you will NOT rotate

  • AM Shift - Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30
  • PM Shift - Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 01:00


What will I be doing as a TIG Welder?

  • Welding components in stainless and mild steel using TIG or gas fusion welding techniques
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols to meet customer specifications
  • Using jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and minimise scrap
  • Completing check sheets for traceability in line with standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Reporting any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the Team Leader promptly


What skills and experience do I need?

  • Some experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG or gas fusion welding, up to 2mm thick (stainless steel)
