Job description
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic, experienced Nursery Room Leader. The person we are looking for should be able to lead and coordinate groups of people well. This person should also be able to plan meaningful and fun age appropriate activities for children. The role will be to help ensure all children receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with stimulating play experiences, which meet their individual needs within the rooms. About you * A motivated people person, team player and a willing learner * An strong leader, with Room Leader experience * Solution focused and committed to improve where possible * Strong knowledge of EYFS curriculum and developmental tracking * Excellent spoken and written English as well as a strong communicator * Reliable, honest and a person who conducts themselves with integrity * Relevant Early Years Qualification, Level 3 * Fun with a sense of humor * A desire to progress within the Early Years sector Your Roles & Responsibilities * Reporting to the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager * Leading your team by example, motivating your team to become reflective practitioners and promote a positive culture always * Taking leadership of your room, delegating and managing systems within your room * Building and maintaining excellent relationships with parents and families * Ensuring the nursery meets all OFSTED requirements * Planning activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes * Being responsible for the day to day care of all children within the room * Liaising with parents/carers as appropriate * Taking part in formal and informal team meetings, including after work hours * Modelling and implementing the highest standards of Early Education practice at all times * Facilitating a creative and innovative range of play and learning experiences, making full use of indoor and outdoor environments * Carrying out key-person related responsibilities and building relationships with a small group of children and their families * Ensuring the safety and well being of all children in your care, promoting security and satisfaction amongst all parents * Ensuring planning for the individual needs of each child is maintained to a high standard * Ensuring that the nursery remains clean and safe for all children and early years team * Understanding and implementing the nursery’s policies and procedures * Participating in professional development and training * Providing high quality care and activities for children * Working a flexible shift pattern within the nursery opening hours * Preparing and serving food for snack time and drinks for children, encouraging good nutrition and sociable eating Benefits * Competitive salary with annual increases * Pension scheme * £500 refer a friend bonus * Value-driven nursery setting * Paid training and qualification opportunities * 40% Childcare discount * Strong transport links * Quarterly fun staff socials * 30 days annual leave plus birthday leave * Staff Recognition scheme * Access to Employee Assistance Programme to support staff wellbeing * Our very own nursery pets!
