About Integrals Power

Integrals Power is an innovative UK battery technology company developing next-generation Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) and Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) cathode active materials for electric vehicles, defence, marine and stationary energy storage applications.

Our patented technologies are focused on delivering safer, lower-cost and more sustainable battery materials while establishing resilient UK and European supply chains. We work closely with leading industrial and academic partners through UK and European government-funded programmes. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly motivated Chemical Scientist to join our team at our pilot manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and scaling phosphate-based battery materials, supporting research, pilot-scale production and commercialisation activities.

You will work directly with our multidisciplinary technical team to develop innovative cathode materials and precursor technologies while supporting customer projects and collaborative R&D programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing battery materials company at an exciting stage of commercial expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise phosphate based materials [including LFP, LMFP, Iron Phosphate (FP) precursor] and synthesis processes.

  • Support pilot production campaigns and technology scale-up.
  • Characterise battery materials using standard analytical techniques.
  • Analyse experimental data and prepare technical reports.
  • Support electrochemical testing activities in collaboration with external partners.
  • Contribute to UK and European collaborative R&D projects.
  • Assist with process documentation, SOPs and quality procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure good laboratory practice.
  • Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management and commercial teams.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and company H&S policies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:

  • Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP)
  • Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP)
  • Iron Phosphate precursors
  • Hydrothermal synthesis
  • Solid-state synthesis
  • Wet chemistry
  • Precipitation processes
  • Calcination and thermal processing
  • Particle engineering
  • Cathode material development
  • Battery manufacturing
  • Scale-up of chemical processes
  • Pilot plant operations
  • Experience using analytical techniques

  • What We Offer

    • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge battery technology.
    • Involvement in high-impact UK and European research programmes.
    • Exposure to laboratory, pilot-scale and industrial process development.
    • Career development within a fast-growing technology company.
    • Collaborative and innovative working environment.
    • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
    • Pension scheme.
    • Flexible working
    • Training and professional development opportunities.

    Why Join Integrals Power?

At Integrals Power, you will help shape the future of sustainable battery technology. Your work will directly contribute to the development of next-generation LFP and LMFP cathode materials that support the transition to cleaner transportation and energy storage while strengthening UK and European battery manufacturing capability.

If you are passionate about advanced materials, innovation and making a tangible impact on the future of electrification, we would love to hear from you.
