A leading national charity is seeking an experienced People Partner to join its People & Culture team. This is a true business partnering role, working closely with directors and managers to provide expert HR guidance, support organisational change, and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
The successful candidate will support managers across a range of employee relations matters, help drive employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to People Team projects that improve organisational effectiveness and employee experience.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
✔ Partner with directors and managers to provide proactive HR advice, coaching and support
✔ Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, conduct and conflict resolution
✔ Support managers with attendance management, sickness absence cases and return-to-work interviews
✔ Promote best practice in people management and support the development of management capability
✔ Work closely with the Senior Organisational Change Manager to support organisational objectives and change initiatives
✔ Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives
✔ Support the delivery of the organisation's Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
✔ Assist with annual Gender Pay Reporting and associated action plans
✔ Support the development and implementation of HR systems and related process improvements
✔ Manage SelectHR and associated People Partnering responsibilities, including Occupational Health records
✔ Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
✔ Ensure employees, volunteers and trustees are treated fairly and supported appropriately
🔹 What They're Looking For:
✔ Previous experience within a People Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role
✔ Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
✔ Significant experience managing complex employee relations cases
✔ Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives
✔ Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills
✔ Experience supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives
✔ Experience using HR systems and supporting process improvement projects
✔ Ability to build effective relationships with managers and senior leaders
✔ CIPD qualification or equivalent experience desirable
✔ A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
