Job description

Apprentice Community Coach

Are you passionate about cricket, community sport, and inspiring the next generation? Warwickshire Cricket Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Community Coach to join our team and help deliver engaging cricket and physical activity programmes across schools and communities throughout Warwickshire.

This 15-month apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in community coaching, gaining practical experience, recognised qualifications, and the skills needed to progress within the sports industry. You will receive support and development through WCF, Coach Core, and Lifetime Learning while working alongside experienced coaches and playing a key role in delivering our Chance to Shine programme, helping children develop confidence, skills, and a lifelong connection with cricket.

If you have experience delivering sport or physical activity sessions, working with children or young people, volunteering, or supporting community activity, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, inclusive, reliable, and eager to learn, with a passion for using sport to make a positive difference. The role requires travel across Warwickshire and flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend activity.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an ECB DBS check and follow our safeguarding procedures as part of our safer recruitment process.

For further information about the role, including detailed responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the Job Description available here.

Apprenticeship Eligibility

Please note that this apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Coach Core and is subject to their eligibility criteria. Applicants must be aged 24 or under at the start of the programme and must not already hold a university degree (or equivalent higher-level qualification). If you are unsure whether you meet the eligibility requirements, please contact us before applying.
