Monarch Education are looking to recruit Lunchtime Supervisors to work across primary schools in Alfreton from September 2026.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking part time work during school hours who enjoy working with children and making a positive contribution to the school day.
\nWe are particularly interested in candidates who are confident, approachable and proactive, with the ability to engage positively with pupils and support a safe and enjoyable lunchtime environment.
\n About the Role\nAs a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing pupils during lunch breaks, both inside the school and on the playground.
\nYou will encourage positive behaviour, support children with social interactions and help ensure pupils return to the classroom settled and ready to learn.
\n Key Responsibilities\nMonitor pupils during lunch and playtimes
\nPromote positive behaviour and safe play
\nSupport pupil wellbeing and social development
\nAssist with playground activities and supervision
\nRespond appropriately to incidents and communicate concerns
\nWork closely with teaching and support staff
\nHelp maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
\n Requirements\nPrevious experience working with children or in a childcare setting is advantageous but not essential
\nPositive and proactive attitude
\nAbility to engage and communicate effectively with children
\nPatient, friendly and approachable manner
\nReliable and punctual
\nGood interpersonal skills
\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team
