Tradewind is proud to be working in partnership with a leading Alternative Provision in the Burnley area to recruit an inspiring Outdoor Education Tutor. This rewarding role is a maternity cover position starting in September 2026 and running through until Easter 2027. If you are someone who can engage vulnerable young people, build resilience through outdoor activities, and offer a fresh perspective on education, we want to hear from you. The Role As an Outdoor Education Tutor, you will not be tied to a traditional classroom. You will design and deliver practical, engaging outdoor learning programmes tailored to students who thrive outside a mainstream school environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality outdoor education sessions (including bushcraft, team-building, and outdoor sports). Adapt sessions to meet the diverse social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs of the students. Manage safety and risk assessments effectively while maintaining an exciting learning environment. Provide mentor-style support to encourage positive behaviour, teamwork, and confidence.
