Monarch Education are recruiting School Cleaners to support schools across Alfreton from September 2026.
\nWe are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals who take pride in maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking part time work within a school setting and wanting to play an important role behind the scenes in supporting pupils and staff.
\n About the Role\nAs a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard and maintained throughout the academic year.
\nWorking as part of the wider site team, you will help create a clean and hygienic environment where pupils can learn and staff can work effectively.
\nShifts typically take place before or after the school day.
\n Key Responsibilities\nClean classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas
\nSanitise surfaces, toilets and high contact touch points
\nEmpty bins and replenish cleaning supplies
\nFollow school health and safety procedures
\nReport maintenance or safety concerns when identified
\nWork efficiently and effectively as part of a team
\n Requirements\nPrevious cleaning experience is preferred
\nExperience cleaning within a school, college or educational setting would be advantageous
\nStrong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
\nReliable and punctual approach
\nAbility to work independently and use initiative
\nGood understanding of health and safety procedures
\nWillingness to work within a school environment
