Join the RAC as a SuperFlex Roadside Mechanic
Flexibility deserves recognition – and we deliver. As a Superflex Patrol Roadside Mechanic, you’ll provide the adaptability our service relies on.
  • Competitive salary: £50,669 basic salary, with the opportunity to earn up to £57,000
  • Weekly variety: You’ll work the on average 40 hours per week across the year, receiving your roster seven days in advance with your core working hours confirmed three days prior.
  • Thrive outside of 9-5: Shifts will fall between 06:00 and 02:00, and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Where you’ll work You’ll be part of the Cheltenham cluster, covering areas like Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cirencester (south), Cotswold towns. We organise work locally so you can start and finish at home, focusing your day on getting members back on the road in your local area. What you’ll need:

Either:

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
    or
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

and

  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points
