Job description
English Teacher Location: M23 Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 Contract: Full-time | Term Time About the Role Education First is looking for a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a specialist education team, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, communication difficulties and associated learning needs. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by delivering engaging, personalised English lessons that inspire confidence, develop literacy skills and help pupils achieve positive outcomes. You'll work within a nurturing, therapeutic environment where relationships, consistency and individual progress are at the heart of everything we do. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs, abilities and EHCP outcomes. * Teach the English curriculum, adapting resources and teaching approaches to maximise engagement and achievement. * Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, using assessment to inform planning and next steps. * Create a structured, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning, emotional regulation and positive behaviour. * Contribute to EHCP reviews, personalised learning plans and annual review meetings. * Support pupils to develop communication, literacy, confidence and independ...
