Although schools and academies are preparing to break up for the summer holidays, we're already planning ahead for the busy September return.

\n

Every year, demand for chefs and cooks increases significantly across schools, nurseries, care homes, healthcare settings, prisons, contract catering sites and hospitality venues from September onwards.

\n

Many of these opportunities require an Enhanced DBS check, so we're looking to speak with chefs now to ensure registrations and compliance are completed ahead of the autumn rush.

\n

Don't currently hold an Enhanced DBS?

\n

No problem. Blue Arrow can help arrange one, giving you access to an even wider range of assignments. While your DBS application is being processed, we can often offer work within hotels, pubs, restaurants, events and other hospitality environments so you can start earning straight away.

Requirements

\n

\n
• Previous experience working within a professional kitchen
\n
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
\n
• Passion for food and high standards
\n
• Ability to work well under pressure
\n
• Flexible and reliable approach
\n
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential)
\n
• Own chef whites and knives
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is beneficial for some locations
\n
