Job description
Medlock Square marks a bold new chapter in the evolution of the Etihad Campus a vibrant yearround destination for culture leisure and entertainment set alongside two global icons: the Etihad Stadium home of Manchester City Football Club and the landmark Coop Live arena.

Named after the River Medlock that runs beneath the site the development celebrates Manchesters industrial heritage while shaping its next era of citydefining experiences. Manchester is known worldwide for its sport music and entertainment and Medlock Square will build on that legacy creating a landmark home for exceptional shared moments and elevating the citys position as one of Europes most dynamic fastgrowing destinations.

At the heart of this new district will be an extraordinary food and beverage offer: from relaxed coffee houses and allday dining to flagship restaurants and premium culinary experiences. Designed to serve both everyday visitors and major event audiences Medlock Square will deliver highquality hospitality all week long and across the events calendar.

About the role


As a Kitchen Porter youll play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness organisation and hygiene across all backofhouse areas. This is a handson role that helps ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service.

Youll work closely with chefs and the wider BOH team to keep equipment workspaces and service areas clean safe and ready for use.
You will be responsible for:

Kitchen & BOH Cleanliness Maintain cleanliness of kitchen pot wash and backofhouse areas Wash and return crockery cutlery utensils and kitchen equipment Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy throughout service

Service Support Support the kitchen team during busy service periods Assist with basic food prep when required Ensure a steady supply of clean equipment for service

Health Safety & Hygiene Follow food safety hygiene and health & safety standards at all times Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly Dispose of waste appropriately and keep BOH areas organised

General Support Assist with deliveries and stock movement as needed Carry out deep cleaning tasks as scheduled Support the wider team to ensure smooth daytoday operations

Essential
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene

Desirable
Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a BOH role
Experience working in highvolume or eventled environments
