Job description

Do you believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive?

We're looking for dedicated SEND Teachers to join a range of specialist schools across Sunderland from September. You'll support pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, SEMH and additional complex needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work alongside experienced Teaching Assistants and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support pupils' personal, emotional and educational development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
