Everfox is hiring an Embedded Systems Engineer. As a grad level Embedded Engineer you will get to be involved in developing software across all our platforms working as part of a team that creates new products and capabilities contributing to all aspects of product engineering within the team.

With consistent support from more experienced Engineers in the team you willcontributeto the designingdevelopingand testingofnew solutionsas well as understanding and contributing to open-source top of thisyoullgettowork on newly funded andvery excitingR&D projects building prototype solutions for our next products.

Engineers atEverfoxwork with a range of technologies ensuring the quality security and maintainability ofour solutions helpingusto secure some of the worlds largest government and enterprise organizations.

Product software development

• Hardware validation and board bring-up activities collaborating with the hardware and firmware teamsto provenew designs.
• Developing andmaintainingboard support packages(BSPs) at the foundation of the software poweringEverfoxsHardsecsolutions.
• Taking part in the scoping and design process for new software providing input to planning and estimation activities.

Integrationtestand sustainment

• Performing end-to-end integration and test of softwarefirmwareand hardware.
• Integrateembeddedsoftwarewithhardware and firmwareto deliver prototypes of new features and products
• Develop automated testsforEverfoxhardwarebased onPython
• Design and perform manualtests onEverfoxhardwareconsideringfunctional and performance angles
• Maintenance of 3rdparty open-source projects such as Linux kernelYoctoand AOSP
• Security reviewsandpatching
• Port latest upstream versions toEverfoxBSPs

Continuous improvement and innovation

• Continuous improvement of code throughcode reviewsrefactoringand adoption ofnew technologies.
• Focus on automation by utilizingcontinuous integration practices and tools.
• Recognizing the industry thatEverfoxoperatesin andappreciating the importance of followingourinformation security policies.

Required knowledgeskillsandexperience

• Apassion for technology and akeen interest indevelopingembedded software for commercial solutions.
• Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.
• Someknowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g.C C Python).
• Core computer science concepts such as concurrency networking performancemeasurementand algorithms.
• Practical exposure to development boards (e.g. Raspberry Pi Arduino) and/or embedded systems (IoT devices).
• Basic familiarity with Linux commandline usage (e.g. navigating directories using common tools) and an awareness of the typical Linux filesystem structure.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

38000.00-52000.00 GBP
