We are looking for a committed, knowledgeable, and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in Jarrow. In this vital role, you will support the Nurse in Charge and take an active lead in overseeing a team of Care Assistants to ensure that every resident receives the highest possible standard of person-centred care.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support with daily living activities, encouraging independence, and safeguarding the dignity and well-being of each individual. You will also take on key clinical responsibilities such as administering medication, contributing to care planning, and ensuring accurate documentation.
You will play a central role in creating a homely, nurturing environment by coordinating meaningful activities, supporting residents with mobility and personal care, and liaising closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external professionals. This is a role where your leadership skills and commitment to exceptional care can make a real and lasting difference in people's lives.
