Quest Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced

Workshop / Production Manager

to join a well-established woodworking and manufacturing business in Northampton. This is a key leadership role, responsible for coordinating between the office-based team and the workshop to ensure smooth production flow, efficient planning, and on-time delivery of high-quality products. The Role

As Workshop / Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop and production schedule. Your duties will include: Acting as the key link between office and workshop teams Planning and prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met Managing workshop operations and daily production activity Supervising, training, and developing workshop staff Monitoring production progress and ensuring jobs are completed on time Managing stock levels and supporting materials control Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed Supporting continuous improvement across workshop processes Liaising with management regarding production performance and issues What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a workshop or production management role (woodworking industry essential) Strong leadership and people management skills Experience in staff training and development Good understanding of stock control and production planning Forklift licence (desirable) Full UK driving licence Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving What's in it for you?
