Unqualified Teacher/Cover supervisor – Colchester and surrounding Areas

Salary: £120-£160 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (or ad-hoc flexible)

Role:

Are you looking to gain experience in education? Do you want the opportunity to work across a range of different year groups within secondary education?

Teaching Personnel is working with secondary schools in Essex, and we are currently recruiting individuals for Cover Supervisor roles.

A teaching qualification is not required to be successful in this role—just relevant and up-to-date experience working with young people. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone considering a career in education.

This position will allow you to gain experience managing a variety of lessons and building rapport with students. It’s a chance to develop teaching and strong classroom management skills in an environment where lesson plans will always be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Working across a range of different year groups and departments
• Managing student behaviour
• Supervising pre-planned, pre-set work from teachers

Requirements:

• Recent and relevant experience working with young people (this can be in an educational, coaching, or care setting)
• Degree educated
• Passionate and committed to working with children in education
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Punctual, flexible, and reliable

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their experience in a school environment or who may wish to pursue teacher training in the future.
