Job description
A secondary school in Kingston upon Thames is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across the school. This is a good fit for someone who can support pupils without needing constant direction. This role is ideal for someone who can support learning manage pupil relationships professionally and help students access the classroom without adding pressure to teachers. What the role involves: - Supporting pupils with SEN EHCPs ASD or SEMH needs - Working across lessons with teachers and support staff - Helping pupils stay focused and regulated - Providing consistent classroom and small group support What they are looking for: - School-based support experience or strong transferable experience - A calm mature and reliable approach - Confidence supporting secondary-aged pupils - Someone who can follow direction but also use initiative Pay: 90 - 110 per day Location: Kingston upon Thames (KT2 6LX) Apply now if you want a long-term school support role where consistency matters.

Postgraduate qualification or accredited training in SEND (e.g. National Award for SEN Coordination Autism Education Trust dyslexia/SpLD or SEMH)Proficiency in alternative/augmentative communication methodsMakaton PECS AAC using evidence-based interventions such as TEACCH SCERTS or Positive Behaviour in Team-Teach MAPA or similar de-escalation and safe-handling with assistive ed-tech tools and adaptive software
