Position Summary

Light & Wonder is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Group Accountant to join our Technical Reporting team. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified accountant making their first move from practice into industry offering broad exposure real ownership and the chance to work as part of a high-performing team of subject matter experts.

As a Group Accountant within Technical Reporting you will take ownership of legal entity reporting across multiple global jurisdictions playing a key role in delivering statutory accounts and managing audits end-to-end. Working closely with teams across the business youll provide technical accounting insight translating complex issues into clear practical guidance.

What Youll Do

• Take ownership of statutory accounts and audit projects across multiple global entities ensuring timely and accurate delivery

• Identify potential issues early and take proactive steps to resolve them throughout the reporting cycle

• Review legal entity management accounts throughout the year to drive timely corrective action

• Build and manage strong relationships with external auditors acting as a key point of contact throughout audit processes

• Prepare technical accounting papers and high-quality audit schedules including support for revenue recognition reviews

• Collaborate with internal teams including GL Tax Treasury and Internal Audit to support audit and reporting requirements

• Monitor legal entity compliance in partnership with the CoSec function

• Plan and lead project meetings to ensure efficient delivery of key milestones

• Contribute to and deliver finance improvement and transformation projects

• Ensure adherence to internal policies procedures and SOX requirements

Qualifications

• Accountancy qualification (ACA ACCA ICAEW etc.)
