Job description
What youll be doing
As a qualified Dispensing Optician you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores reporting to the Store Manager.

Key responsibilities
  • Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
  • Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
  • Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
  • Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
  • Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
  • Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.
What youll need to have (our must-haves)
  • Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Passion for your own learning and development completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

Team structure: You will join a close-knit and supportive team including 1 Resident Optometrist and 1 Pre-Registration Optometrist. The team prides itself on building strong patient relationships and delivering exceptional care within a collaborative and friendly working environment.

Located on Tewkesburys historic High Street the store sits in the heart of a charming market town renowned for its beautiful Tudor architecture independent shops and strong sense of community. Tewkesbury offers easy access to Cheltenham Gloucester and Worcester while providing the benefits of a picturesque town with plenty of local amenities cafés and riverside walks.

The store is open Monday to Saturday 9:00am5:30pm offering a consistent working pattern and excellent work-life balance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Dispensing Optician looking to join a modern practice with a strong community focus supportive colleagues and a patient-first culture.
