Manager Supply Chain and Operations - Procurement

At EY our Procurement Transformation consulting team works with some of the worlds top organisations to help them build high performing procurement capabilities. We are looking for experienced procurement professionals to join our growing team and support our clients to navigate the unprecedented global uncertainty volatility and risk within supply chains.

The opportunity

You will have the opportunity to work on a range of differentclientprojects working across industry sectorsand the full procurement lifecycle including:

  • Delivering high-value complex strategic sourcing projects supporting clients toidentifyand onboard suppliers todeliver some of their largest and most critical projects.

  • Engaging with business stakeholders and suppliers to shape category strategies that best meet the organisations needs and takes advantage ofmarket and industrybest practice.

  • Conductingassessments on3rdpartyspend using analytics toolsidentifyingopportunitiesto reduce cost. Working with clients toimplementprojectsandimprove ways of working so that they are better able to manage spend.

  • Supporting clients to navigate supplier performance issuesthat areimpactingon business outcomes working with them toimplement leading practice contract and supplier managementcapabilities.

  • Working withclients to review the currentprocurementoperating modelandidentifyand implementing improvements.

  • Providing formal and informal procurement training to client teams so they have the technical and soft skills to deliver the best procurement outcomes.

  • Supporting clients to implement leading procurement technology practices including Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence.

You will workin cross-functional teams across our Consulting People and Technology projects youdeliver will buildyour leadershipmanagementexperienceand yourtechnical commercial &procurement capabilities. You will work closely with and support senior client will also have exposure toleadingprocurementtechnology; includingRobotic Process AutomationArtificial Intelligenceand Advanced Data Analytics.

Your experience

Typically Managers bring practical experience from either aconsultingor industry background where you have developed your technical and experience is not essential you will have experience leading projects and delivering business change for your organisation.

As a minimum you should have:

  • A minimum of five years procurement experience

  • Track recordof managing projects and internal initiatives in afast-pacedenvironment

  • Strong analytical skillswith evidence of being able todraw out insightsfrom a range of different data sources

  • Abilityto successfully work withand influenceinternal and external stakeholders at all levels of organisation

  • Experience managing diverse teams of people including mentoring and coaching

  • Ability to produce clear and concisereports that effectively communicate complexfindings and recommendations

Qualifications
Many of our Managers have professional body membership or qualifications e.g. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or International Association of Commercial & Contract Management (IACCM) or equivalent but if you feel that you have skills which you believe would be additive to our team please apply.
