Join the Action at Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh as an Events Customer Care Steward and earn 13.45 per hour!

About the Role

We are looking to recruit additional Events Customer Care Stewards to support our current Events Team working at Royal Highland Centre Edinburgh. Additionally you could find yourself supporting the broader music and sports events at historic Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle Edinburgh Corn Exchange and Scottish Gas Murrayfield - Luke Combs and Bon Jovi; and the home of Edinburgh Rugby - Hive Stadium. Our Events Customer Care Stewards provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This means you could be working indoors or outdoors on your feet showing visitors where to go checking tickets at entry points monitoring crowds or managing the car parking facilities. Wherever you are you will be a helpful and friendly face representing the event.


As an Events Customer Care Steward you will be responsible for helping to keep venues staff and visitors safe. This may include:

  • Carrying out pre and post event safety checks ensuring compliance with safe working procedures
  • Greeting assisting and directing visitors attending the event
  • Ensuring that no prohibited or restricted items are taken into the secured zones within the venues
  • Monitoring visitor / crowd movements and behaviour to identify potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary

Requirements:

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends
  • A friendly professional and reliable attitude with a strong focus on great customer service
  • Confident communication skills and a smart well presented appearance


No experience is required as we will give you all the training you need - applicants holding their Level 2 in Spectator Safety (or above) are preferred but not essential however you must be willing to go through the funded training once on board.
