As Director of Current Supplier Quality youll report directly to the Quality Director and lead a large highly skilled team responsible for managing supplier quality performance across our current vehicle portfolio. This is a role with significant visibility and influence sitting at the centre of manufacturing engineering purchasing supply chain and quality operations.
When supplier quality issues arise your team will be the first line of defence working at pace to protect production minimise disruption and drive permanent corrective actions. Youll oversee everything from supplier investigations and root cause analysis through to cost recovery warranty concerns supplier development and long-term quality improvement.
Youll play a key role in shaping supplier strategy using performance data and operational insight to support sourcing decisions and supplier selection. As a member of executive sourcing discussions youll help determine which suppliers are best positioned to support the future of Aston Martin.
This isnt a role focused solely on problem solving. Its about building capability and driving continuous improvement across our global supply base. Youll lead teams responsible for supplier development support resourcing activities where supplier risk exists and ensure quality cost and delivery objectives remain aligned across the business.
Youll also work closely with manufacturing operations supporting production reviews and ensuring any issues identified on the line are quickly contained and resolved. At the same time youll make sure lessons learned are captured and fed back into future vehicle programmes helping prevent issues from being repeated through design reviews engineering standards and vehicle development activities.
The successful candidate will be an experienced automotive leader with a proven track record of managing large multi-disciplinary teams and delivering results in complex manufacturing environments. Youll be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders presenting at executive level and making decisions that balance quality customer experience operational performance and commercial impact.
Youll be someone who naturally builds strong relationships whether thats with suppliers engineering teams production operations or executive leadership. Youll bring a practical approach to problem solving a passion for continuous improvement and the credibility to lead through both challenge and change.
Given the global nature of our supplier network youll be comfortable travelling within the UK and internationally when required supporting investigations supplier development activities and manufacturing operations across Aston Martins sites.
