As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students both in the classroom and through small-group and one-to-one interventions. Your role will help pupils develop their understanding of English while encouraging engagement, confidence and a love of learning. Key Responsibilities * Support students during English lessons through one-to-one and small-group interventions. * Assist teachers with lesson delivery and effective classroom management. * Help students understand key English concepts and complete classwork. * Provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and other learning needs. * Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence within the classroom. * Prepare learning resources and support differentiated learning activities. * Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: * A degree in English or a closely related subject. * A genuine passion for education and supporting young people. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain ideas clearly and effectively. * Patience, empathy and a proactive, positive approach. * The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team. * Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential). * The ability to commute to Newbury.
