Shunter & Yard Person A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Mill Operative working for a well-established and prestigious company based in Shipdham, Norfolk. This is a full-time position, on an initially temporary basis with the view of going permanent after 12 weeks. The working hours are Monday to Friday 06:00 to 16:30 (weekend working expected during busy periods) Candidate Requirements * Physical Fitness: The role involves heavy lifting, manual handling, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. * Licences: A valid Counterbalance or Reach Forklift (FLT) licence is required also an HGV preferred. Or heavy machinery experience. But will be provided. * Work Ethic: A flexible, enthusiastic, reliable, helpful and organized individual with excellent communication skills. Who is punctual, reliable, and capable of working independently or as part of a wider operations team. Key Responsibilities * Loading and off-loading coupling and uncoupling trailers quickly, efficiently and safely. In a timely manner and working in accordance with the Company’s safe systems of work. * Conducting pre-shift checks on the HGV’s, trailers & FLT prior to use and completion of the relevant documentation. * Ensuring goods are checked, accounted for and loaded or unloaded correctly. * Ensure that the storing of raw materials, packaging is secure and to a satisfactory standard with no torn labels, unsealed wrapping and ...
