ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Thisimportant roleis the public face of the Security Team. A can-do and professional attitude is essential in this highly influential role. You also need to ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site.
This role will require full flexibility and ability to cover shifts in different sites - London Energy Wembley NW10 OUX and LONDON ENERGY Edmonton N18 3AG. The client is a large Energy and Waste services provider managing warehouses wastedepotsand recycling centres.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Readily interact with all visitors within the site delivering first class customer focused services
- Carry out regular patrols of the site as detailed in the site assignment Instructions being always proactive.
- Continuously look for opportunities to be ofassistanceto visitors and client proactively helping wherever opportunities arise.
- Safeguard all the sites are safe and non-threatening environment for all visitors.
- Ensuring all incidents are managedin accordance withsite policies and procedure.
- Liaising with site control room proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and always supported.
- Ensure any unsecure areas of the site are reported to Control Roomimmediatelyand action taken to resolve.
- Record/log all non-conformances and emergencies with theappropriate controlroom operatives.
- Deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies ensuring the site team are kept fully always informed.
- Intelligent understanding of human behaviour monitoring and surveillance of suspect individuals logging and reporting incidents in line with site/company polices.
- Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorised access by banned individuals.
- Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
- Ensure all events/incidents are recorded in the Security Officer notebook correctly and notebook policies are always adhered to.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties asrequiredto meet the needs of the business.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
- Ensurea timelyresponse to all security issues and events.
- Complete all training requirements as requested by line manager.
- Be available to coveradditionalshifts asrequiredto cover absence/annual leave.
- Liaise closely with the Environmental Services team delivering one service and highlight opportunities in working as one team.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- SIA Licensed DS or SGrequired.
- SIA CCTV licensed desirable.
- First Aid certificaterequired.
- Be professional pleasant friendly courteous and helpful always whilst carry out duties to the highest standard.
- One team approach
- Take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed or escalated when necessary.
- To always stay motivated aim high and achieve.
- To respect all staff and visitors within the site.
- Excellent communication skills.
