Child Care Solicitor

Our client is seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to join their growing team in London. This role will involve representing parents, grandparents, other family members, interveners, and children in a wide range of publicly funded child care matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services, supporting vulnerable clients, and contributing to the ongoing development of the department. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a varied caseload of child care matters including Care Orders, Supervision Orders, Emergency Protection Orders, Placement Orders, Adoption Orders, and Child Arrangement Orders • Handle Legal Aid applications and CCMS procedures • Represent parents, grandparents, family members, and children directly or through CAFCASS-appointed Guardians • Defend allegations involving injury, abuse, or neglect • Prepare court bundles, witness statements, and supporting documentation • Attend conferences, hearings, and undertake advocacy where appropriate • Instruct counsel and liaise with external parties as required • Provide sensitive and practical advice to vulnerable clients • Communicate complex legal matters clearly and professionally • Maintain high standards of client care and service delivery • Supervise and support junior solicitors, trainees, and paralegals • Assist with training and development within the departm...
