Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently recruiting experienced Primary SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS to Year 6 in a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools throughout East Lancashire.

The Role

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning.
  • Encourage pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Help create a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have relevant experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a school setting.
  • Be confident working with children across EYFS to Year 6.
  • Be patient, caring and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).

Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable, but we welcome applications from experienced candidates with a strong background in supporting pupils with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
